Forget Kobe, Lebron James for MVP!

Okay, I felt Kobe Bryant was robbed of the MVP awards the last couple of years, especially when he dropped 81 points in one game! He was definitely robbed, but the MVP simply isn’t based on how you score, it’s about how good you make your team with your overall play. And although Kobe is arguably one of the best players ever, I think my vote still has to go to King James.

Why am I choosing Lebron James? That’s obvious, he’s a gifted player at such a young age and ever since he came into the league, he has definitely lived up to his hype. Not to mention he single handedly took his Cavs to the finals with basically no support from his team. Well, maybe I’m exaggerating but come on, even Michael Jordan had Scottie Pippen!

Now I know Kobe has become more of a team player this year, and now that he has more support with Paul Gasol, he’s definitely a favorite for the MVP this year. And let’s not forget players like Chris Paul and Kevin Garnett and what they have done for their teams. But again, look at their support on their teams. Lebron simply doesn’t have that type of support.

I mean, Lebron James almost averaged a triple-double this season and like 30 points a game. He truly makes his team look good, not the other way around.

So, although I don’t think he will actually get it this year, Lebron James has my vote for MVP. Again, he lives up to his hype at such a young age and I bet he’ll take the Cavs deep into the playoffs, if not the NBA Finals!

For the record, Lebron James just helped his Cavs take Game 2 against the Wizards. He was only one rebound short of a triple-double. He scored 30 points, had 12 assists and 9 rebounds. If that’s not MVP caliber material, I don’t know what is!

King James lives on!
