Yes, the NBA Finals is here and the rivalry has been renewed. It’s only game 1 but this was a great first game. I’m not just saying that because the Boston Celtics took the first game but overall, the intensity, emotions and great overall game was there.

If you read my post I wrote a couple days ago, I made my predictions on the Celtics winning in 7 games and game 1 was a good step for me. I have yet to take any bets but I know for a fact that there are tons of Lakers fan who think they’re going to win. I personally extended a bet to a fellow blogger, Bloggernoob, not sure if he’s going to accept it but we’ll see.

If anyone is willing to make a bet, then please let me know and we can work something out.

But back to game 1 of the renewed rivalry between the Lakers and the Celtics; the Celtics are a tough team to beat at home but since these teams haven’t played much against each other this season, it’s going to the interesting throughout the series.

I mean, the Celtics did a great job defensively on Kobe Bryant all game long. He shot pretty poorly but I credit the Celtics on that.

The thing that concerns me is the fact that Paul Pierce sprained his knee during the game, but he did mention to come back to finish. But if you’ve ever sprained your knee, it’s not fun and I’m not sure how well he’s going to be in the second game on Sunday. If Pierce doesn’t play well (or play at all) I think the Lakers have a very good chance in winnning the second game.

But let’s hope not!
