No Sympathy for the LA Lakers – Celtics Take 2-0 Advantage to L.A.

kobe bryant of the lakersFor the Los Angeles Lakers, no one has any sympathy for you guys so please at least try not to expect pity from people. I mean, did you see last night’s game? All the hand tossing, arguing to referees for non-calls, etc. Well, I can tell you something, I don’t think too many people feel bad for you guys.

Well, maybe Bloggernoob who is cheering for you guys but I don’t think he’s going to be making any bets with me now that the Lakers are down 2-0 in the NBA Finals series. Honestly, I don’t blame him either.

Now, I’m not denying that the Lakers aren’t a great team because they are. But they shouldn’t expect any sympathy. I mean, do you guys remember that infamous non-call foul from Derek Fisher in the San Antonio Spurs series?

Yup, got away with that one.

And Kobe didn’t even want to be in L.A. in the beginning of the season! In addition, the Lakers stole Paul Gasol from Memphis for who and what? Yeah, exactly.

Last night, Lakers head coach Phil Jackson questioned some of the officiating last night, and although, no referee is perfect, they did make some good and right calls. Plus, Jackson also mentioned that his team “couldn’t play any worse.”

Again, so why would anyone have sympathy for them?

The Lakers did make one hell of a comeback in the fourth quarter that gave me (and all the Boston Celtics fans) a scare. But besides that last surge which fell short, the Celtics outplayed them in almost every aspect in that game.

I don’t know what’s going to happen but I feel confident with a 2-0 series lead. Though, I still think it’s going to go at least game 6, one can only hope for a sweep… right? :-P
