Pat Venditte the First and Only Switch Pitcher in Baseball?
Written by Jay on June 24, 2008 – -
If you are a baseball fan, particularly a New York Yankees fan, you should know who Pat Venditte is. And if you don’t, Pat Venditte is the only professional pitcher who is recognized for being a switch-pitcher.
Wait, what? A switch-pitcher? Don’t you mean a “switch-hitter?”
As most of you guys already know, a “switch-hitter” is a term in baseball in which a batter can hit from both sides of the plate. But like I said, no, I didn’t mean “switch-hitter,” I meant a “switch-pitcher.”
Pat Venditte is ambidextrous but he takes it way past batting, he can throw effectively both right-handed and left-handed. Now, that is what you call talent! I mean, it’s unheard of in professional baseball… until now.
Venditte was drafted by the New York Yankees organization and he currently plays in the minor leagues. In Venditte’s first minor league appearance, there was a usual incident before he faced his last batter of the inning. It’s funny because he was facing a switch-hitter and apparently both of them kept switching sides to get the better match-up.
The conclusion: The umpire ruled in favor of Pat Venditte so the switch-hitter had to choose one side to bat from and then Venditte would have the option of which arm to throw with. While there still has been no official ruling by Major League Baseball, it seems it will be the other way around; pitcher chooses which arm to throw and then the batter chooses which side to bat from.
Venditte also has a custom-made glove so it can be wore on either hand whenever he needs to make the switch.
Honestly, I think it’s pretty unbelievable what Pat Venditte can do on a professional level. I couldn’t believe it until I saw the video below:
Hey, I might not be able to throw like Pat Venditte, but I bet you I can kick from both sides better than he can!

Jules Asner: Pictures, Biography and Opinions of Hotness
Written by Jay on June 23, 2008 – -
Let’s kick start the Wordpress transfer with a sexy woman not too many people know about, Jules Asner. So, Jules Asner as you can see from the pictures is a beautiful woman, but who is she? Where is she from? Why does she look familiar?
Well, let’s start with her biography. Jules Asner was born on February 14, 1968 and grew up in Tempe, Arizona. Asner’s given name at birth was Julie with her real last name unknown to the public. Asner was her married name but continues to use it, even though she’s divorced.
She grew to be 5’10” at age 11 and was discovered at a modeling convention when she was 16. She eventually signed with Elite Model Management and spent time modeling. I mean, a tall beautiful brunette, she was meant to be a model
Okay, so the reason why she looked familiar to most is the fact her face is all over E! television. Besides that and modeling, she’s not that big. And yes, Jules Asner did pose nude, but hey, she’s a model.
But I stumbled across Jules Asner recently and never knew who she was but I figured I have a sexy woman’s category so that was a perfect place to add her! I think she still has the hotness value to her but many people lost interest, especially since she’s just not well-known.
Eh, it happens. When she blows up (if she does) I’m sure her sexy value will skyrocket.
Enjoy some of these additional pictures of Jules Asner. You can click on them to make them bigger.

I joined the Blogging Idol Contest from DailyBlogTips.com
Written by Jay on June 16, 2008 – -
Yes, I officially entered the Blogging Idol Contest brought to you by DailyBlogTips.com.
So, what exactly is the Blogging Idol contest anyways?
No, it’s not like American Idol in which people sing for nothing because it’s more of a popularity contest than a talent show. But rather, it’s going to be a competition between amateur bloggers with less than 1,000 RSS Feed subscribers to see who can raise their RSS Feed count the highest within one month. See, raising the count isn’t the problem, it’s who can raise that the most.
Oh, and it’s only the difference not the total because some people would probably start in triple-digits already, while blogs like this one has single-digits. LOL! I decided to enter this blog because my other blog(s) already have triple-digit RSS Feed subscribers, plus, I want to get this blog going!
Yes, there are also rules that we have to follow but it just keeps everyone on the same starting line. The contest runs from June 23rd through July 23rd and yes, I already have my ideas lined up on what I’m going to do to get my RSS Feed count up.

R. Kelly Acquitted of Child Pornography Charges
Written by Jay on June 15, 2008 – -
R&B Singer R. Kelly was acquitted of child pornography charges this past Friday which finally closes the book on this six-year investigation.
I’m sure all of you have heard about this - and if you haven’t, you really need to get out more - but R. Kelly was charged with 14 counts of child pornography charges and this ordeal lasted for years. Matter of fact, this all dated back to 2002. But on Friday, after the jury deliberated on the case for close to 8 hours, they found R. Kelly innocent on all 14 charges.
After reading quite a few articles, I’ve seen people use the comparison to the O.J. Simpson trial. Now, that definitely isn’t even on the same level but still people want to compare the two because a) both were big name celebrities b) both of them were found innocent and c) I’m sure the comparisons were there because of race.

Celtics Complete Biggest Comeback in NBA Finals History Down 24 to Beat Lakers
Written by Jay on June 13, 2008 – -
Simply amazing and this is why I love sports because you never know what will happen. It doesn’t happen too often but it does happen. Well, the Boston Celtics completed the greatest and biggest comeback in NBA Finals history last night when they were down as much as 24 points to defeat the Los Angeles Lakers 97-91.
I’m sure a lot of you guys watching the game was shocked; Celtics fan simply disappointed and Lakers fan getting cocky as they kept building the lead. I’m not going to lie, I had my head down a little bit but I continued to watch the entire game.
One of my friends told me he couldn’t take it and had to step away from the television for the second and third quarter until someone told him they were only down by 10.
Yes, things definitely got interesting in the fourth quarter as Lakers fan probably got as quiet as a mime trying to hide. I’m sure Bloggernoob was thinking the Lakers were going to win.
(Bloggernoob and I have a bet going… he’s cheering for the Lakers, and obviously you know who I’m going for - the next champions!)
Paul Pierce (the games MVP), Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen all had great games but I think it was the bench players that definitely pushed the comeback. You definitely have to give credit to James Posey and Eddie House especially going down the stretch. I mean, Eddie House made the basket that gave the Celtics the lead for the first time in the game in the fourth quarter.
So, what happened to the Lakers offense? Well, I think they got a little too comfortable with the lead that they didn’t go back to what kept the up by so many points. I mean, Lamar Odom was 7-7 in the field in the first half. He finished 8-11… so he only took 4 total shots in the second half? They should have given the ball to him more often.
Well, what’s done is done, it’s not officially over because we all know the Lakers are a good team and last night just shows anything can happen. But the Celtics just need to win one last game within three chances and they will not only be the team that completed the biggest comeback in NBA Finals history, but they will have added to the total (and most) championships by any team in the NBA.
Come on Celtics! One more game…
