Phillies World Series Parade in Preparation?
Written by Jay on October 27, 2008 – -It looks like the Philadelphia Phillies are just one game away from winning the World Series title for the first time since 1980, and we all know a parade comes after each major sports win! So, what’s going to happen with the Phillies World Series parade?
Well, so many things have changed since they won their last World Series and took pride and going around in a parade. For instance, the JFK stadium is no longer there and I believe that was once the end point of the parade. But it looks like city officials won’t be releasing anything of the parade just yet because no one wants to jinx them.
Just look at what happened with the New England Patriots when people thought they was going to beat the New York Giants… city officials planned on a parade even before the Super Bowl!
But unlike the Pats, the Phillies were going into the World Series as the underdogs to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Even though I was cheering for them so they instantly became favorites!
But the very moment the Phillies get that last out in the 9th inning, all the preparations will come storming out on the parade.
