Yes, you read right ladies and gentlemen, Paula Abdul quits American Idol and we all first heard it from her Twitter page. And after the rumors spread through the internet that Paula Abdul won’t return to American Idol, Fox also confirmed her departure. And no, American Idol will not be the same without her.

According to Paula Abdul’s Twitter page, she states “With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return to #IDOL.”

Now is this a publicity stunt? Probably not. But honestly, Fox is probably stupid for letting her go. I just saw a poll of 60,000+ and a majority of people said they won’t be watching Idol without Paula.

Now I know it’s only thousands of people not watching… compared to the millions. But quite frankly, American Idol just isn’t the same as it once was.

Anyways, it sucks to see Paula Quit American Idol but I’m sure she has her reasons.

Will there be a replacement? Probably not as entertaining… but we’ll see.
