Pwn2Own Contest 2010
Written by Jay on March 25, 2010 – -Pwn2Own Contest 2010 – Pwn2Own recently had a contest for all hackers to try their best to hack into select programs and devices. And in this case, it was the iPhone, IE8, Firefox and Safari.
These contests always has the best of the best hackers from all over the country and they show up to try to hack the supposed “un-hackable” programs. Well, here are some of the results for the Pwn2Own Contest 2010:
- Pwn2Own MacBook attack: Charlie Miller hacks Safari again
- Peter Vreugdenhil exploits IE8 on Windows 7 to win Pwn2Own
- Vincenzo Iozzo and Ralf Philipp Weinmann hacked iPhone
Every hacker that successfully hacked into the programs were paid anywhere between $10,000 and $15,000. Not a bad days work if you ask me!
On top of that, some of the hackers were allowed to keep the hacked devices such as the iPhone.
Lucky them, huh?

Youtube Down – Unavailable
Written by Jay on March 25, 2010 – -Youtube Down – Unavailable – Youtube was apparently down for about an hour or two this morning and it caused the entire internet to go into panic mode especially since it’s one of the most visited sites in the world. Well, if you want to know, it’s currently back up.
As far as I have been reading, Youtube officially went down at 7am EST this morning and if you went to the site, you might have seen a message like “Http/1.1 Service Unavailable” or “Service unavailable”. Some people have some speculations that the site was hacked into but no official word has come out yet.
Though, even when the site was down, all the embedded videos still worked. And sometime shortly after 8am EST this morning, Youtube was back up and everything seemed to be working fine once again.
We’ll see what the official statement will be when Youtube reps address this issue.

Joe Biden F Bomb Video
Written by Jay on March 24, 2010 – -Joe Biden F Bomb Video – What did Biden say to Obama? Well, he says a lot but apparently, he said a little more than he’d like when he dropped the f-bomb on live television and clearly everyone heard him. In case you missed it, you can check out the Joe Biden F Bomb video at the end of this post.
If you aren’t aware of this by now, the new Health Care Reform Bill was passed and when Vice President Joe Biden went to introduce President Obama last night, he shook his hand, leaned over and whispered “this is a big f-ing deal”. Unfortunately for him, he was on national live television and the open mic was within arms reach so everyone clearly heard him say it.
I can’t blame him because he was obviously extra excited about it but next time he may want to learn how to whisper better. Or maybe just not say it on live television so tv crews can edit it before it gets aired.

Stupak Baby Killer
Written by Jay on March 22, 2010 – -Stupak Baby Killer - It looks like the battle of Democrats and Republicans continue when Democratic Rep. Bart Stupak was urging his fellow Democrats to vote down on the abortion services in the health care legilation, someone in the crowd yelled out “baby killer”.
The outburst drew immediate shouting from the Democratic side and it was quite obvious it came from the Republican party.
A few Republicans acknowledged hearing the comment and a few of them have an idea on who it was that shouted it out. Though, no one is confessing or stating who they think said it, people are suggesting that it came from the Texas or California section of where the Republicans were sitting.
The ones that know who it was will not say a word, though.
We’ll see if anyone confesses eventually.
