Funny Video: "She Wants My… Stimulus Package!"
Written by Jay on June 3, 2008 – -LOL! A pretty funny video from Barelypolitical.com which is a funny rap video by these two guys that talk about what they’re going to spend their stimulus package money on.
And I’m not sure, but I think that hot girl in the video is the Obama girl. But I’m not fully sure.

Poetry.com is a Scam Site?
Written by Jay on May 28, 2008 – -
I don’t know how many people have heard of poetry.com, but it’s a poetry site in which people can “publish” their poems and are entered for a chance to win prizes in these contests. But I recently stumbled upon a interesting article stating that poetry.com is in fact a scam.
Eliteskills.com has dedicated it’s entire website on how you can spot and avoid writing scams; and it features poetry.com is a scam.
I mean, poetry.com is probably the most well-known poetry sites on the web now but if you ever go there or if you’re already a registered user, you must have some doubts about it. Some of that stuff seems too good to be true, and if you want your poems published, bam!, you have to purchase their book.
A small excerpt from Elite Skills:
“Poetry.com is a fraud publishing organization that features it’s online writing contest. It literally accepts 100% of applicants as ‘Semi-finalists’ in their ‘international poetry competition’ and sends a letter to the poor victims. The letter is full of flattery saying that you are a wonderful poet and the ’sectional committee’ or ‘panel of judges’ has decided your poetry is good enough to be published. They ask a ‘modest’ payment of $50 plus extra if you want your page on a page of it’s own. Publishing only those who paid, 6000 poems per book at $50-$75 a poem with 60 books published a year is a lot of $$$$.”
Also, “Poetry.com does NOT publish your work if you do not pay for the book.
Poetry.com publishes 50+ books a year and does NOT sell them anywhere other than to the victims of their scam.”
Now, before I read Eliteskills.com’s scam article, I actually had discussions with others years ago about the site. And guess what? One of my good friends submitted his “suppose-to-be-copyrighted” poem to poetry.com and of course, he never won the contest but soon after, he saw the same exact poem published in a Hallmark card.
Coincidence? I think not. And yes, he showed me his original and the card, and I think I believe him over a constantly accused scam site.

Sprint Nextel Really Sucks? Are Their Stocks Falling?
Written by Jay on May 28, 2008 – -
I swear, the more people talk about cell phones, the more I hear people say “Stay away from Sprint Nextel… they suck!” So, why do they suck so much? How are they so different from all the other cell phone carriers? Well, they are obviously different due to the high number of people complaining about Sprint - and no, it’s not only their reception.
Before I continue, I am currently still a Sprint/Nextel customer but I had my share of problems with them. Besides the fact that their customer service sucks (most of them have absolutely no idea what they’re doing), here’s a few examples of my problems I had with them:
- They had a glinch in their systems years back and when I went to check how many anytime minutes I had, it stated I had plenty. Of course, I was never informed of this glinch and they ended up charging me $200 on a $50 bill. Of course, I complained like their was no tomorrow and I was credited back a large portion but not the whole thing.
- I called to ask a question on how to transfer all my phone stuff (images, phone books, recordings, etc) and of course they told me I needed to some software. Not believing them, I went a Sprint store (bad move!) and they told me they don’t sell that software I was told and I should try going to Sprint.com/download and I did and no luck. I then tried calling them again (bad move #2!) and they gave me the run around and I got nowhere. After waiting a month or two later, I called again and this time they told me I did not need any software, but the simple USB cord. Yup, it that finally worked. But notice how I wasted like a couple months.
There were a few other examples, but I can’t remember. But you’re probably wondering why I’m still with them? Well, one day a Sprint representative called me to just check if I was satisfied with the service. My reply was “Are you kidding me? Is this a trick question?” Then I proceeded to tell them my bad experiences and went into details on the problems I ran into.
And this is the reason why I stayed with them…
They replied and saw all my problems on record that they ended up compensating me a few things. They gave me an additional 120 minutes of anytime usage, free nights and weekends (I didn’t have that before), unlimited text and took off $5/month from my bill. And no, I didn’t need to sign a two-year agreement.
Of course, others just continue to have problems with Sprint and never get any type of compensation. Take Allen Harkleroad, he started an entire site dedicated to the despise of Sprint. You can visit it at Sprint-really-sucks.com.
Allen, a pretty cool social media buddy of mine brings up all these bad experiences and why you should not sign with Sprint… ever! Some examples of his problems, he got ripped off by a $50,000 bill… yes, you read correctly, $50,000! Also, he put an example of a person who was hit with a $500 bill and the customer service told him that he was irresponsible and they didn’t care about his problem.
Hearing about all these complaints (especially the ones in person) sucks to hear, I think I really may have to reconsider my cell phone carrier for the long run.
Don’t believe me, just Google “Sprint Sucks” and you’ll see hundreds of thousands of rants and complaints.
Oh, and one last thing I found was this letter from Sprint to a former customer in which the customer called to complain and Sprint decided to terminate their service. It almost looks like a generic letter which makes me think they get a lot of these! Click the image below to read the letter.

Graduation Gift Ideas
Written by Jay on May 27, 2008 – -
It’s that time of year, graduation for high school, college, grad school, etc, so now you have to get those graduation gifts for your loved ones for their accomplishment. But wait! You’re having a tough time thinking of what to get them. Well, I have some great graduation gift ideas for you guys!
Well, recently, I attended a college graduation of a special person in my life and I got her this great gift. Though, I’m not going to mention it here because technically it’s in the mail being shipped and I don’t want to ruin the surprise. But below is a list of graduation gift ideas for high school, college and graduate school.
Potential high school graduation gift ideas:
- A laptop (or computer) to get those soon-to-be college students working hard on their papers - or at least chat with them on AIM?
- Digital Camera or video camera so they can capture their future on film!
- iPod or MP3 player because everyone needs their music while walking or taking public transportation to their future class/job
- Handheld Organizer - we all know this won’t last but it’s your best interest to keep these students organized
- A new bag because who wants that same old bookbag from high school?
- Video game console - yes, some people need to be rewarded with fun things. And go get them Guitar Heroes while you’re at it!
Cheaper high school graduation gift options:
- Memory stick or flash drive - we all know technology rules the younger demographic, plus, no one uses floppy disks anymore!
- Cell phone accessories - everyone has one, why not get them the accessories to go with it
- Framed pictures
- Scrapbook so they can relive their high school days
- Flowers
- Locket
Potential College graduation gift ideas:
- Any of the ideas under the high school ones
- Jewelry
- A vacation or trip - “Now that you’ve just graduated, what are you going to do!” “I’m going to Disneyworld!”
- A watch
- Dinner at their favorite restaurant
- A new television
- Shoes, sneakers, boots
- A bike - Yes, with the prices of gas, you might as well invest in one now.
- Customized gifts such as lockets, wallets, knives, anything that can have something engraved on
- A suit - yes, all guys will eventually need one
- A dress - yes, all women love clothes… make sure to get matching shoes for them too!
And when all else fails, you can always buy them a card and a gift certificate! I’m sure there’s plenty of personalized gifts but if you had a tough time thinking of graduation gift ideas like me, here’s a list. I might keep adding to this as well!

Yes, I Put Entrecard on Here… But NO I Will Not…
Written by Jay on May 14, 2008 – -Yes, I decided to put Entrecard on here even though I have not been a big fan of it. Well, not of it but rather the Entrecard cult, chain droppers, drop and dashers, etc. The reason I decided to put it on here is simply the fact that I know a lot of people share the same interests and I want to get the word out there.
I already have it on a couple of my other blogs but no, I am not a Entrecard dropper. I just wanted to make that clear. And a lot of people are Entrecard addicts and need help. Find out if you are an Entrecard addict here!
Matter of fact, below is a list of things you will NOT see me doing, in regards to Entrecard, at least not on iBlogtoBlog.com
I will not…
- reciprocate Entrecard drops
- hold Entrecard contests
- join Entrecard cults, reciprocal groups, etc
- enter Entrecard contests
- not visit your blog if a majority of your posts are Entrecard-related
- well, mostly Entrecard-related things
But what I will do…
- I will network with other bloggers
- I will help out when I can
- Basically, nothing against my norms
I just wanted to kind of make things clear so there will be no confusion. If you like my blog, then great, I hope you leave a comment and your blog URL and I will check out your blog. And if I like it, I’ll consider subscribing as well! But just because you advertise on my Entrecard widget, it doesn’t mean that I will check out your blog… Just a heads up…
