Vince McMahon Sells RAW to Donald Trump

Written by Jay on June 15, 2009 – -

Vince McMahon sells RAW

If you’re a WWE fan, you will find out that Vince McMahon sells RAW to Donald Trump this Monday night. And not a lot of people expected this but I’m sure a lot will come from this. Donald Trump is good at making money and getting lots of attention so I’m sure this should help WWE fans out there.

On the other side, this is probably just another publicity stunt and yet another twist in some wrestling storyline of drama. I mean, the entire wrestling scene is basically a soap opera with a lot of wrestling and fake fighting.

dwight-howard-twitter

How many of you guys are following Dwight Howard on Twitter? Well, it looks like right after the Orlando Magic defeated the Boston Celtics, he gave a quick Dwight Howard Twitter shout out to his followers.

Has Twitter become so big that everyone is just randomly going to give free publicity to them by shouting out people? I mean, has Twitter become more popular than Myspace because of its easy and quick usage?

Manny Ramirez and Steroids: I Knew It!

Written by Jay on May 14, 2009 – -

manny-ramirez-steroids

I know this is old news by now but I just wanted to express my opinions on Manny Ramirez and his steroids use. And I’d just like to say “I knew it!”

Of course, we are in the era of steroids when it comes to professional sports. But you guys already knew that so I don’t have to repeat it too many times. But ever since Manny Ramirez went to the Dodgers, his stats have drastically increased.

And I was the idiot who drafted him on my fantasy baseball team because he was putting up such great numbers. Too bad I won’t be using him for the next 50 games or so.

NBA Playoff Predictions 2009 - No Repeat for Celtics, Cavs Take Their Place?

Written by Jay on April 23, 2009 – -

nba-playoff-predictions-2009

Since the NBA Playoffs are underway as of this past weekend, I decided I’m going to announce my own NBA Playoff predictions 2009 and no, that does not include the Celtics winning and defending their championship. (And yes, I’m from Boston and I am a fan but I have to be realistic here).

Let’s say with the Celtics for example. I know you guys seen them win it last year even though they struggled against most of the teams they faced throughout the playoffs. And some of you guys are thinking the same exact thing for this year. But the difference: there will be no Kevin Garnett!

Ken Griffey Jr and the Seattle Mariners Are Going to Have a Great Year!

Written by Jay on March 10, 2009 – -

griffey-mariners

Yes, I’m a Ken Griffey Jr fan and yes I also like the Mariners. And quite frankly, I think the Mariners are definitely going to have a better year than they did last, especially since they have my boy Griffey back on the team!

I know he’s not the same “kid” as he once was but he brings much more than just hitting to the team, he also brings added motivation, determination and guidance to the younger players to get through the rough times.

I mean, they can’t get any worse than they did last year when they lost 100+ games. Their batting lineup seems to be better with a few additions that includes Griffey, their pitching has also been pretty decent (even though they lost key players such as their closer J.J. Putz) but I think they just struggled with runs last year.

Written by Jay on February 26, 2009 – -

dwight-howard

Let’s continue with the amazing NBA shots and get to video of Dwight Howard hitting a 75-foot shot during a pregame warmup.

If you’ve seen the video then you know how effortless it looked for him to just chuck up that shot and make it. But if you thought it was luck, think again! Apparently, he did it twice in the same week and almost the same exact shot with the same result.

I mean, they don’t call him “Superman” for nothing!

If you thought Devin Harris’ half-court buzzer beater was crazy then check out Dwight Howard’s even longer and effortless shot.

Video: Devin Harris Half Court Buzzer Beater

Written by Jay on February 24, 2009 – -

devin-harris-buzzer-beater

If you guys are basketball fans, you have to watch this amazing half court buzzer beater shot by New Jersey Nets’ Devin Harris. It was crazy and honestly, I would have never thought it would have happened.

I didn’t watch the game fully but I paid attention here and there. But when the New Jersey Nets were hosting the Philadelphia 76ers last night, the ending was amazing.

The game was tied at 95-95 when 76ers guard Andre Iguodala drives to the basket and gets fouled with less than 2 seconds left on the clock. I think like 1.6 seconds… he misses the first freethrow and then makes the second one.

But honestly, it wouldn’t have mattered if he made both or not.

No timeout was called by the Nets and the speedy Nets point guard, Harris, runs with the ball, loses the ball for a split second and then tosses up a shot at the buzzer from half court… and game over! The Nets win 98-96…

Check out the video below:
