Leave Bill Belichick Alone!

Written by Jay on November 16, 2009 – -

Should people leave Bill Belichick alone for his call on 4th and 2 on his own 28 yard line? Well, he thought it was the right decision and obviously he just didn’t have too much faith in his teams defense. Don’t get me wrong but I’d do the same exact thing Belichick did with his call… in Madden 2010 on Xbox 360.

But I’m sure everyone will be on him for his decision in the game and probably question his decision making in games for a while. But you guys also have to remember that this guy won three Superbowl rings already and he is still considered a coaching genius.

Anyways, I found this video on Youtube and I thought it was hilarious so I figured I’d entertain you guys for a little bit. Check out the “Leave Bill Belichick Alone” video below:

Larry Johnson Twitter Slur

Written by Jay on October 28, 2009 – -

Larry Johnson Twitter Slur

So, what exactly was Larry Johnson Twitter Slur? What did he say that was so offensive to everyone that he got in trouble from the internet, his team as well as the NFL? Well, I was pretty curious on what it was too so I figured I would look it up and post it here.

Well, apparently Larry Johnson was having a bitch session after the Chiefs lost yet another game. He started to criticize and bash his head coach. Below are the Larry Johnson Tweets:

“my father got more creditentials than most of these pro coaches. … google my father!!!!!!!”

“My father played for the coach from “rememeber the titans”. Our coach played golf. My father played for redskins briefley. Our coach. Nuthn”

Those are the exact Tweets from LJ. Then it looked like he had a reply and then LJ started going into his slurs.

“think bout a clever diss then that wit ur [expletive] pic. Christopher street boy. Is what us east coast cats call u.”

Obviously he used a homophobic slur and the reference to “Christopher street” is a well-known gay-pride movement in NY.

Well, that’s Larry Johnson said.

2009 NFL Power Rankings: Week 7

Written by Jay on October 20, 2009 – -

Man, the 2009 NFL Power Rankings: Week 7 are changing as time goes on and with some losses and wins last week, week 7 is definitely going to be interesting.

As you guys know, I only post the top 10 teams in the 2009 NFL Power Rankings because those are the main ones that we actually care about. But there aren’t too many surprises, especially with the undefeated teams being at the top. I mean, they’re undefeated for a reason, right?

Anyways, below is the 2009 NFL Power Rankings for Week 7

1. Saints – Still undefeated, still have the number 1 offense and did you see them crush the previously undefeated Giants?

2. Colts – They had a bye week last week but they are still undefeated and with Peyton Manning as their QB, I’m sure they’ll remain at the top spots for quite a while.

3. Vikings – They almost lost last week against the Ravens but “almost” doesn’t mean they did. Plus, Petersen and Favre is making the offense work oh so good!

4. Broncos – Personally, I think their undefeated record should be a fluke but lucky or not, they are still undefeated. And that is why they deserve to be in the top 5.

5. Giants – They were higher but with the crushing defeat to the Saints last week, they’re lucky they’re still in the top 5! But to be fair, they have some injuries and stuff like that.

6. Falcons – The only reason they’re aren’t first in their division is simple: Saints. But with a 4-1 record, a very good offense behind Ryan, they’re good.

7. Patriots – Yeah they demolished the Titans last week but who plays in the snow better than them? But which Brady will we see next week? 6 TD Brady or no TD Brady?

8. Steelers – They’re getting closer to that same team that won the Super Bowl last year. Be careful!

9. Bengals – I still can’t believe they’re up there but I’m still not convinced.

10. Bears – They had plenty of chances to win at Atlanta but just couldn’t do it. Though, the Falcons are a pretty good team. :D

Dante Wesley Hit Video

Written by Jay on October 19, 2009 – -

If you missed it, we have the Dante Wesley Hit Video in which this special teams player from the Carolina Panthers made a vicious hit on a defenseless punter returner, Smith, of the Tampa Bay Bucs.

If you want to check out the video, just go to the bottom of this post.

But Dante Wesley but a shoulder hit on Clifton Smith even after Smith signaled for a fair catch. Of course, Smith was still looking up in the air, took the hit, the ball didn’t even get there yet and he laid their unconscious for about a minute.

Smith later was able to get up and walk off the field under his own power. He was diagnosed with a concussion and was out for the rest of the game.

Both teams ran onto the field, a few fights started and Wesley was then ejected for the hit. And I’m sure the NFL will probably suspend him, fine him and probably more… who knows?

Anyways, it looked like a dirty play to me. Check it out for yourself.

Mike Zimmer Wife Dead

Written by Jay on October 15, 2009 – -

Mike Zimmer wife was found dead by the Cincinnati Bengals defensive coach last Friday. Honestly, I don’t know how he was able to go back to work but he did just that on Sunday and helped his team beat the Baltimore Ravens.

Mike Zimmer’s wife, Vicky, was found at home on Friday not breathing. Nothing else was really released on her death but there have been no reports of foul play. The cause of death hasn’t been determined just yet but it’s pending an autopsy results.

Vicky Zimmer was 50 and has been married with Mike for 27 years. She leaves behind the coach as well as three children.

Our hearts go out to the Zimmers.
