Pink Toed Tarantula
Written by Jay on September 30, 2009 – -I never even thought they would be a pink toed tarantula but I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, huh? Well, you can check out the pink toed tarantula picture below.
But the pink toed tarantula is also known as the “pink toed tree spider.” They are found throughout the Amazon Basin. Supposedly, Guyana exports these pink toed tarantulas as well.
These pink toed tarantulas are pretty small but they have long dense hairs. The female spiders are bigger than the males and the females can get as big as 13 cm while the males grow as big as 9 cm. They can live between 4 to 8 years but supposedly it takes about 2 to 3 years to fully mature.
Anyways, they’re called the pink toed tarantula because, well, the tips of their feet are pink. Seems simple enough, right?
