Well, we will have a Yankees Parade 2009. And no matter how much I hate the fact they won, I have to give them respect. I mean, they did go out and buy an all-star team and spent the most money by any ballclub to do it but the Yankees proved once again that spending money can equal a championship.

Again, I’m not fully happy about the Yankees win of the World Series 2009 but the baseball season is finally over.

Wait, did I just quote Cole Hamels or something?

Anyways, let’s get to the Yankees Parade 2009. The parade will take place Friday morning and will begin on Broadway at Battery Place starting at 11 in the morning and will go through the Canyon of Heroes to Chamber Street where the mayor will present the keys to the city to the Yankees.

I’m sure the parade will be filled with millions of people to support them. I know how it was when the Red Sox won the World Series.

Did anyone watch last night’s World Series game? If you did, you might have seen Johnny Damon Double Steal which is pretty rare in baseball. Basically, he stole two bases all in one try. Don’t worry, if you missed it or went to the bathroom at that time, I have the Johnny Damon Double Steal video below.

Basically, in the ninth inning, Johnny Damon was on first base after a single. He then stole second base… then noticed no one was covering third so right after he got up from sliding into second base, he just sprinted towards third base and got in safe because no one was covering at all.

And yes, this sparked the Yankees to win eventually and take a commanding 3-1 lead over the Phillies.

But anyways, it’s pretty rare in baseball to see a double steal like this but if you never seen one, check out the Johnny Damon Double Steal video below.

The World Series are just around the corner so get the World Series Schedule 2009 now so you don’t forget it when it comes at full force at you. I mean, it looks like its going to be the Yankees against the defending champion Phillies. One team is the richest and most known in the world and the other is a young team defending their title.

Anyways, I don’t exactly want to jinx anything (even though I already have) but unless something drastic happens, I think both are going to make it.
