WSOP 2009 Main Event Results

We all just found out the WSOP 2009 Main Event Results and believe it or not but history was made this year when we found out who the World Series of Poker 2009 winner was. The winner was 21-year-old Joe Cada of Michigan who took in $8.55 million in first place.

Cada became the youngest person to win the WSOP main event in the 40 years it has been around. He beat out Darvin Moon in heads up but Moon wasn’t too disappointed. He ended up taking in $5 million in second place.

To round out the final table results, we have:

3 – Antoine Saout $3,479,485,
4 – Eric Buchman $2,502,787,
5- Jeff Shulman $1,953,395,
6 – Steve Begleiter $1,587,133,
7 – Phil Ivey $1,404,002,
8 – Kevin Schaffel $1,300,228,
9- James Akenhead $1,263,602

Not too bad for just making the final table, huh? Makes me consider taking my poker playing a little more serious than I should.

Well, congratulations to everyone that made it into payouts but a big congratulations to Cada for being the youngest player to win the main event!
